The fight has just begun

By: Assad

Now that the emergency has been (supposedly) lifted people might think that things are going to get better and that we have won some major battle. I assure you it is quite the opposite. musharraf has amended the constitution so that his actions are beyond reproach. The lifting of the emergency is nothing but a smoke screen to placate what he thinks is a ragtag opposition to him. This my comrades is just the beginning. The struggle will be long and weary and we must dig our trenches and fight a long arduous war. This fight is not about musharraf but rather the wider role of the army in politics and the independance of a judiciary. Let us show these five brass star hypocrites that we are ready for democracy and that no matter what we will stand up to their injustices and fight them in whatever way we can.
