She is sure dead, but are we alive?

It's the question that is haunting me. Can we really call ourselves alive if "we can't do anything". Do we have the right to call ourselves alive? Do we know what this word "life" means? Amidst all this chaos and confusing news of Benazir's death, numerous other news were in circulation. Whether there's going to be another emergency declared is a waiting game now. Would elections make any sense now, even though US has given stern statement that elections should go ahead as planned. There's a set of burning questions, but as I watched different news channels (as i really didn't know what else to do) constantly showing the same footage everywhere, there was an unmistakably distinct pattern i saw even though i was passively watching everything. Four different people said something live on tv, within a time window of 10-15 minutes. These four people are geographically and mentally well apart apparently. US president George Bush, UK Prime minister, Brown, Afghanistan's Karzai, and finally Pakistan's Musharraf. They all said exactly the same words about the incidence. Now this could have been a coincidence for sure, but I dont' know. Each one of them used two keywords "cowardly act" and their favorite term "terrorists". There was an unmistakable correlation between the short statements issued by the "gentlemen".

There's another incidence that happened. I had an argument with my dad. I wouldn't like to quote the naivety of my dad's philosophy, but in short his philosophy stinks of helplessness. It promotes an absolute submission to the global tyrants of this world. I say if we are just waiting for the bullets to come into our own homes one by one and rid us of our lives, we are absolutely dead already!!! If helplessness is all we as humans can achieve in the absence of a gun in our hand, then everything Iqbal has said in his poetry, everything Allah has said in the Quran is false. It is absolutely false, if it is only God that can change things now!!

juny bush also 'hoped' tht the democratic process will continue... so are saying the opinion builders on PTV... PTV is continuously telling tht one shld not take political benefit of this situation by turnin guns towards one person or one party.... and the best one can do for pakistan is take part in the political process and carry on with the elections.... means they dont want ppl to wake up n start a movement which can bring life back to the dead nation...
now coz of followin two points i m gettin an impression tht BB was used as a scapegoat in order to build an opinion tht pakistanis r under threat from the america defined 'terrorists' and every pakistani shld now support mush in this regard, those 2 pts are:
1. mush in his stmt said "yeh dehshatgardon ka kaam hai, n yeh wohi dehshatgard hain jin k khilaaf hum lar rahay hain, yeh pakistan ki taraqqi mein sab se bari rukawat hain, n hum chain se nahi bathein gay jab tak dehshat gardi ko jarr se ukhar ker nahi phaink detay "...
in short he said tht she was killed by the same ppl whom we (the pakistanii govt.) are fighting against, so he asks for support from the nation... he wants ppl to believe tht these ppl r real culprits

2. cnn showed an interview of BB sayin tht she is returnin to pakistan despite threats to her life... she is riskin her life coz children of pakistan r as dear to her as her own children, and she wants every pakistani child to have a bright future...
now her assassination makes pakistani ppl think tht if a leader who wanted to modernize pakistan can be killed so easily then any common man who wants this is nothing... this killing also makes pakistanis believe tht future of our children is in gr8 danger and we need to fight the america defined terrorism... for all those who do not believe in american definition of terrorism, this is an act to change their opinion and gather their support as well...

wht gave me an impression tht point 2 was abt building an opinion was the telecast of tht interview at a very right time... they hit iron when it was real hot... the 2, 3 sentences she spoke were fitting very much in the current situation... i was sittin in a state of confusion tht who can be behind her killin, i could not even think tht america would have done it and suddenly this interview appeared on cnn... it looked to me as if the interview was specially recorded to show at such an event... i dont know but i m for the time being believin tht she was used as a scapegoat n no one can even hold mush or bush suspect for doin this
